Royals finally get their man

Well we have a manager again, former Tigers, Indians and Rockies coach/manager (in varying capacities) as well as former Ranger and Indian ball player Buddy Bell. I remember when Bell played third base for my beloved Texas Rangers. I remember he was a great fielder and a pretty decent hitter as well.

Lets hope he can turn the Royals around, and maybe even convince Glass to spend some more dough as well.

Kellen Winslow Jr. out for the year

Wow, did Kellen Jr. screw things up or what. He should already feel like he has something to prove after missing most of his rookie season while making millions, and then he does something foolish like riding a crotch rocket that he apparently did not have a clue on how to ride controllably. He wipes out and its now been confirmed that he has a torn acl and is out for the year. His contract actually forbids risky activities like riding a motorcycle (from what I have heard that is actually spelled out in the contract) so he may have to give back a big chunk of his signing bonus if the Browns push the issue.

Time will tell I guess. Pretty poor judgement on Winslow's part, he really let the fans and his teammates done, as well as his new head coach, Romeo Crennel.

What is Morton thinking?

From the looks of it, judging from what I read in the KCStar this morning and heard on channel 9 last night in Len Dawson's report, WR Johnnie Morton is probably done in KC. Apparently the Chiefs asked him to renegotiate to a better cap number and he has refused. Considering Morton had a pretty poor year last year, not sure why he thinks he will get $3 million elsewhere that he was getting here, not sure he would even get $2 million if he is 100 percent.
