The Chiefs finally get their man

After weeks and months of speculation that it might or might not happen, the Chiefs pulled the trigger (Finally!) and traded for All Pro Miami Dolphin CB Patrick Surtain. The Chiefs gave up a second rounder this year to get him, and already reached a long term deal with Surtain. That should be a huge upgrade for the Chiefs secondary. He is another addition to try and upgrade a horrible defense. The Chiefs have also acquired former Steeler LB Kendrell Bell, S Sammy Knight and DE Carlos Hall this offseason to try and improve the defense. Def. Coordinator Gunther Cunningham has got to be thrilled to death to be getting some new talent on defense. For the most part they are young or fairly young guys, so that is another plus. Bell and Hall have only been around 2 or 3 years if I remember correctly.
