More class from Randy Moss

Once again Randy Moss showed the sports world how little class he has by pretending to moon the crowd at Lambeau last weekend. I guess that is what happens when you grow up without discipline and always get your own way. You really have to question how first the incident where he walks off the field before the game is over and now this and apparently the Vikings are not concerned about it at all. In fact, the Vikes owner Red McComb tried to get Fox Sports announcer Joe Buck taken off the broadcast of the Vikes-Eagles game this weekend because of his comments when the incident happened at the game. Fox quickly turned that request down.

The really bad part? No one associated with the Vikes has even remotely criticized what he did. You can tell that Randy probably has more power on the team than Mike Tice does.

Playoffs round 1

Well, that smell is my playoff picks for saturday's games, I got them both wrong. The Seahawks should have one that game, all they had to do was catch the damn ball. What kind of logic is there to have the greatest wide receiver in the history of the game (Jerry Rice), who even in his 40's still has great hands, sitting on the bench when the game is on the line. On the last play of the game, Bobby Engram got his hands on the ball and should have had it, but he dropped it. I think Jerry would have found a way to haul that pass in. I think the Seahawks dropped something like 6 or 7 passes in that game, no wonder they did not win.

The Chargers looked like they had it all wrapped up in OT, but Iowa's own Nate Kaeding missed a field goal and then the Jets went down the field and didn't miss theirs. I would have liked to see the Bolts win this one, but they still had an incredible season even with a loss in the wild card round.

Week 1 playoff pics

Here are my playoff pics and stuff for the 1st round:

St. Louis at Seattle- I think the Hawks take this one, although both teams might do their best to give it away based on past performances. If it was in the dome I might take the Rams. Of course, with Martz as their coach, you can never rule out the Rams making a bonehead play call. Somebody needs to tell Mike that they never won a superbowl with him as the coach.

Jets at the Bolts- Have to say Chargers again. Pennington plays much better at home, and he is still not 100% either. Besides, the Chargers look good, even today when they had nothing to play for against my hometown Chiefs.

Denver at Indy- Indy all the way. I predict a repeat of last year when the Broncos one late in the regular season and then got destroyed in the playoffs. That colts offense is just too good.

Vikes at the Pack in Lambeau- If the weather is bad, forget it, the Pack takes it. Otherwise it should be close but still think the Pack will take it. If the Packers get hot, they can still take the NFC, especially now that Carolina is out, the team they probably had the worst matchups with.

Not sure who will win over all yet, but I think it will be an AFC team for sure, especially if the Eagles don't have TO. Early favorite would be the Colts or Steelers but Pats or Chargers could win it all too.

Way to go Hawks!

I guess I would be remiss if I didn't mention the Hawks New Years Day bowl win over LSU since I already talked about the cyclones. Iowa looked good, especially early on, and of course they did well on their last series. Still trying to figure out how the LSU defense let that happen on the last play of the game, but hey, who cares the Hawks one. LSU was probably the best team they beat all year as well.

Ferentz sure has done a great job with that program, you have to wonder at what point he will decide to take the plunge and go to the NFL. The money would be there, but who knows, maybe he wants to try and get a national title first. You never know............

Its playoff time!

Hey, finally the playoff picture is set! Its almost a bummer neither the Saints or Carolina got in considering how strong they finished the season. I think they probably deserved it more than the Vikings or Rams did, at least the way they finished up. And did anyone catch Randy Moss, ever the great sportsmen, walking off the field before the game was over. Apparently he must have had more important things to do than finish the game. The announcers were giving him some grief over it, but of course his coach was not. Good job Randy!

Just another reason why I would take Marvin Harrison or even TO over Randy. They both actually play on every snap, not just when they feel like it.
